Membership

Categories

The League has three membership categories, outlined below. For more information about membership, e-mail info@vlct.org.

Full Membership

All 246 organized Vermont cities and towns are eligible for full municipal membership. This membership allows voting privileges and input on policy development and adoption, as well as access to all the League's services.

Associate Membership

Available to Vermont villages, counties, housing authorities, solid waste districts, fire districts, regional planning agencies and other political subdivisions of the State of Vermont. Associate members are entitled to the same services provided to full members except voting privileges at our annual meeting.

Contributing Membership

Any person, firm or organization interested in municipal government is eligible for contributing membership. Contributing members receive the basic services of the League, with the exception of Insurance & Risk Services, and are not eligible to vote on League business.

Group Purchasing

The Vermont League of Cities and Towns has negotiated with several organizations and businesses to obtain discounted or special services for VLCT member municipalities. These services are outlined in the document below.
