Who Should Attend and Why:

This workshop is designed for moderators, selectboard members, town clerks, town managers and administrators, and all local officials who are interested in learning how to run Town Meeting. Content is designed for both new moderators and seasoned veterans.

This webinar will review E911 maps & GIS data that are available to the public via the website e911.vermont.gov. Primary focus will be on understanding and utilizing the E911 PMF Map. Learn tips and tricks for mastering the PMF map including how to search and locate addresses, measure the distance to the nearest hydrant, search x y coordinates given for a lost hiker, view attributes associated with parcels, bridges & culverts and more. e911.vermont.gov

The Selectboard Institute is an annual program that focuses on the unique roles and responsibilities of Vermont selectboard members. Designed for both newly elected and more seasoned members, the program is highly interactive and allows members to learn from each other’s experiences. In 2012, the Selectboard Institutes I and II are offered in two locations. Staff members who report to the selectboard are welcome as well.
