The VLCT Health Trust, Inc. was formed in 1982 to allow municipalities to offer quality health insurance to their employees at group rates. It currently has 264 members.
The Trust purchases group medical insurance from CIGNA. VLCT Member Relations and benefits administration staff serve as a liaison between members, their employees, CIGNA, and our third-party billing vendor. Members of the Trust can also participate in other Trust programs: Group Life and Disability, Dental, Vision, Long Term Care, Cafeteria Plan, COBRA Administration, and Employee Assistance. Wellness programs, including the Leader, are also available to members through VLCT's Safety and Health Promotion department.
