			<title>Covered Bridge Replacement RFP</title>

The bridge is located on Lower Bartonsville Road approximately one-half mile from the Route 103 intersection. The bridge will be 168 feet long, and the truss design will be made of timber with a metal roof. Bridge superstructure to be placed atop existing abutements on the same alignment as the existing temporary bridge.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Town of Rockingham has hired Clough-Harbor, a design/engineering firm. Construction and materials will be made according to provided plans and specifications. 			<description>&lt;p&gt;The &lt;strong&gt;Town of Morristown&lt;/strong&gt; is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to restore the steeple on the former Universalist Church, now known as the Lamoille County Senior Center, located at 24 Upper Main Street in Morrisville. Because this project is partially funded with grant funds from the Vermont Division for Historical Preservation, all work must conform to the Secretary of the Interior’s National Park Standards for the Treatment of Historical Structures.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The scope of work includes:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;Repair of the Bell Deck Roof to prevent the accumulation of water and prevent further water damage.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Repair and replacement of the copper sheathing on the spire.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Repair of any water damage found underneath any roof and construction methods that will help prevent further water damage to roof sheathing.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;A pre-bid meeting will take place at 10 a.m. on May 15, 2012, at the Tegu Building, 43 Portland Street in Morrisville. All potential bidders must attend this meeting.&lt;/strong&gt; The scope of work may be amended at this meeting. The project area will be made available to potential bidders for their inspection. All questions and answers will be furnished to all bidders. Bidders must have previous experience in steeple restoration and references that will confirm their ability to perform this type of restoration project. The Town of Morristown will be responsible for removal and replacement of the clock workings.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The bidder shall purchase and maintain throughout the contract award insurance of the limits and types specified below from an insurance company approved by the Town. Insurance shall be in such form as will protect the contractor from all claims and liabilities for damages for bodily injury, including accidental death, and for property damage that may arise from operations under this contract whether such operation by himself or by anyone directly or indirectly employed by him.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Comprehensive General Liability. Bodily Injury or Property Damage, $2 million per occurrence and general aggregate;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Automobile and Truck Liability. Bodily Injury or Property Damage, $2 million per occurrence and general aggregate.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;(Excess or umbrella coverage may satisfy requirements.) Additionally, the contractor shall purchase and maintain the following types of insurance:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Full workers' comprehensive insurance coverage for all people employed by the contractor to perform work on this project. This insurance shall at a minimum meet the requirements of the most current laws of the State of Vermont.&lt;/li&gt;
