The VLCT Health Trust, Inc. was formed in 1982 to allow municipalities to offer quality health insurance to their employees at group rates. The Health Trust works with major health insurers to provide competitive coverage for municipal employees. Moreover, the Trust has grown to offer an array of employee benefits: group rates for Dental, Life, Disability, and Long Term Care insurances; Vision coverage; and Cafeteria Plan administration; and free access to Wellness programs, Health Advocate, COBRA administration, and a Vermont-based Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
