The best health insurance you can buy is not what you pay for — it's what you do for yourself.

The VLCT Health Trust has long been committed to promoting a wellness culture in its member organizations and healthy behavior by individual subscribers. As of 2014, changes in Vermont's health insurance marketplace have affected the Health Trust's revenues, with the result that now only large municipalities (with 50 or more employees) that buy insurance by naming the VLCT Health Trust as their Broker of Record (BOR) are eligible to receive free access to the three most popular wellness services that most Vermont municipalities used to enjoy: onsite health screenings, onsite flu shot clinics, and Invest EAP (an Employee Assistance Program). Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont and  CIGNA maintain various online resources, and links to these carriers are below.

If you have any questions about the current availability of wellness programs, contact Heidi Joyce, Senior Health Promotion Consultant, Risk Management Services.
