Claremont, New Hampshire (pop. 13,500), is seeking an innovative and passionate community leader to serve as its next City Manager.  Located in the Lake Sunapee Region and Upper Connecticut River Valley, Claremont is a historic community with quintessential New England charm. The economic and professional development of Claremont will be a top priority for the new manager. Claremont has many enviable community, cultural, and natural assets including a rich heritage of textile and machining buildings that are being transformed by adaptive re-use.

Claremont boasts a downtown tax increment financing (TIF) district and an industrial park, neither of which is yet fully occupied. Claremont is a short drive from the medical and educational assets of Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Dartmouth College and is 60 miles from the state capital of Concord.

With a Council/City Manager form of government, the city manager serves as the CEO/CAO of the city, reports directly to a nine-member city council, and oversees an operating budget of about $25 million and 116 full-time employees.
