Local Government Day in the Legislature is an annual event at the Vermont State House during February where local officials can learn about the status of pending legislation that affects local government, attend legislative hearings, and speak with their representatives and senators.

8:00-8:40 a.m.    Registration at the Capitol Plaza Hotel and Conference Center
Greet your local government colleagues and VLCT staff over a continental breakfast. Browse information tables of the Vermont League of Cities and Towns, the Vermont Municipal Clerks’ and Treasurers’ Association, the Vermont Assessors and Listers Association, the Green Mountain Water and Environment Association, and the Vermont Government Finance Officers Association.

8:40-8:50 a.m.    Welcome

8:50-9:00 a.m.     State and Local Government: Shared Concerns in our Communities

9:00-10:00 a.m.    Your Legislators and Your Town: Connecting the Dots on Legislation
