August 6, 2020. The State of Vermont is allocating Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) monies to reimburse state agencies, municipalities, and health care organizations for COVID-19-related costs that have been deemed ineligible for FEMA funding.
This means that before applying for CRF funds – such as Local Government Expense Reimbursement (LGER) Grants and Health Care Provider Stabilization Grants – applicants must first submit a FEMA Public Assistance grant application and learn the extent of their FEMA eligiblity (typically PPE and staff overtime). The Vermont Emergency Management memo linked below explains this situation well and has links to relevant webpages.
The FEMA deadline to apply for COVID-19-related expenses incurred before June 30 is September 1, 2020. CRF monies that have not been allocated by December 30, 2020 must be returned to the U.S. Treasury.
