State of Vermont Emergency Relief and Assistance Fund (ERAF) – Guidance for Municipal COVID-19 Applicants

April 17, 2020 – Under normal circumstances, in order to qualify for State match funding to the 50% or 70% level of the non-Federal cost share, a municipality must provide verification to the Department of Public Safety that it has adopted or will adopt four or five basic steps to prepare for disasters within 30 days of the federal disaster declaration. Because of the open-ended incident period of the COVID-19 emergency, the 30-day period used to calculate the municipal ERAF share starts from the date the State Emergency Management Operations Center (SEOC) returns to normal operations.
