As the Director of the Federal Funding Assistance Program, Katie provides expertise and technical support to Vermont’s towns, cities, and villages as they pursue unprecedented amounts of federal funding to advance their local priorities and initiatives. She works closely with state, federal, statewide, and national partners to ensure that VLCT’s members not only have access to these funds but also the resources they need to move their projects from ideation to implementation.
Prior to joining the League, Katie was a Principal with M&S Development, served as the Commissioner for the Vermont Department of Housing and Community Development, ACCD, was the Director of Real Estate Development for Windham & Windsor Housing Trust and served as a Vermont town administrator for almost a decade. She is currently the Chair of the Board of Commissioners for the Vermont Housing Finance Agency, former Chair of the Vermont Downtown Development Board, and former board member/commissioner of: Preservation Trust of Vermont (Secretary) and Preservation Realty Holdings, Windham Regional Commission, Downtown Brattleboro Alliance, Friends of Algiers Village (VP), and Broad Brook Community Center (founding member). She is a passionate advocate for Vermont’s communities and understands firsthand the critical role local government plays in the daily lives of all Vermonters.
