Maura is Executive Director of VLCT and is responsible for its organizational oversight and leadership. She works with members of the Board, VLCT staff, and officials at all levels of government. Maura has been with the League since 2015, and especially enjoys learning about Vermont, traveling around the state to meet people, and experiencing all that is part of the culture of the Green Mountains.
Prior to her move to Vermont, Maura served the New Hampshire Municipal Association for almost 25 years as staff attorney, government affairs director, general counsel for legal and government affairs, and executive director. She briefly worked in the private practice of law and clerked at the New Hampshire Supreme Court. She is licensed to practice law in Maine and New Hampshire, but is currently on inactive status. Maura also served three terms as a state representative and eight and a half years on the Concord City Council, four years as Mayor Pro-tem. She has also served on several non-profit council and agency boards.
