Webinar Recording: Voting By Australian Ballot - An Overview

This recording is available for VLCT and VLCT-PACIF members only. This item is available for special discounted pricing to ensure members have access to relevant resources prior to Town Meeting 2021.

The Legislature adopted a temporary law that allows selectboards of towns that normally vote from the floor on Town Meeting Day to switch to the Australian ballot system. This option reduces COVID-19 public health risks posed by in-person meetings in buildings that don’t allow for social distancing. In this recorded webinar session, Will Senning provides an overview of legal requirements and the process of the Australian ballot system.

Recommended especially for municipal officials adopting (or considering) Australian ballot voting for the first time as well as those interested in a refresher, including selectboard members, municipal managers, administrators, administrative staff, and town clerks.
