The Civic Engagement and Belonging Committee was created by the VLCT Board of Directors as a temporary committee charged with advising “...the VLCT staff and Board of Directors on how best to improve engagement and prosocial behavior to foster stronger, more connected communities. “
VLCT’s mission is to serve and strengthen local governments. The Civic Engagement and Belonging Committee helps VLCT do this by evaluating and recommending services and tools to the VLCT Board of Directors that may help its members ensure all residents feel connected to their local government.
The VLCT Civic Engagement and Belonging Committee meets remotely the third Monday of odd-numbered months – January, March, May, July, September, and November – at 12:00 PM. (If that Monday falls on a holiday, the meeting defaults to the next Tuesday). Details on how to attend can be found on the meeting’s agenda, posted at the link below about one week before the meeting.
