Fleets and Commercial Motor Vehicles

Most municipalities have commercial motor vehicle operators who fall under US DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements for licensure, hiring, and drug and alcohol testing. Some of the requirements can be complex and it is important that they be done properly.

To help make life easier for you, PACIF has established a drug and alcohol testing consortium for all members to ensure compliance. You are encouraged to review the Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) Operations Toolkit to become familiar with all of the requirements – particularly the mandatory requirement for each municipality to establish a FMCSA compliant drug and alcohol testing policy.
