VLCT Property and Casualty Intermunicipal Fund Board Openings

May 18, 2026
PACIF Board Openings

The VLCT Property and Casualty Intermunicipal Fund (PACIF) Board of Directors has openings for Director and Alternate Director. PACIF is Vermont's leading provider of property and casualty and workers' compensation coverage to municipal entities. PACIF staff work closely with members to learn their strengths, weaknesses, and operational structure and partner with them to reduce exposure to risk and improve resiliency.

PACIF staff and board members continuously review the Fund's financials and claims to ensure organizational financial strength. The Board provides input and guidance to staff regarding coverage and services to ensure that these effectively meet members' current needs, while contemplating future risks. PACIF is in a strong market, financial and service position and seeks board members with a long-term vision to further this success.

PACIF Board members must be affiliated with a municipal entity that obtains insurance services from PACIF, specifically in the capacity of selectboard or city council members, clerks and treasurers or an elected or appointed official with responsibilities to select or administer property, liability and/or workers' compensation coverage for the member municipality. An official as listed above who has insurance experience in lieu of being involved with the insurance “decision” is also eligible for consideration.

The Board and its committees meet, ideally in person, in Montpelier about twelve times a year.  If you are qualified and interested, please visit the PACIF Board of Directors web page for recent board meeting minutes, and contact Nominating Committee Chair Bryan Young at orwelltowntreasurer@gmail.com for more information.
