(In towns using Australian ballot) All early voter absentee ballots the clerk receives before the polls close on election day must be counted if they were returned (1) by any means to the town clerk’s office before the close of business on the day before the election; (2) by mail to the town clerk’s office before the close of the polls on the day of the election; or (3) by hand to the presiding officer at the voter’s polling place.
