Both are in preparation for the Primary Election on August 11, concerning the use of vote tabulators and drop boxes, respectively.
Friday, June 12, 2026: (Not less than 60 days before the primary election) In towns with fewer than 1,000 registered voters and using Australian ballot, last day the board of civil authority may vote to require the town to use vote tabulators to register and count votes. 17 V.S.A. § 2491(a).

Monday, June 29, 2026: (Not later than 43 days before the primary election) If the board of civil authority voted, drop boxes must be made available for the return of ballots. 17 V.S.A. §2543(c).
