The Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation has launched the 2027 VOREC Community Grant Program (VCGP) grant round.
This year’s program is intended to fund project development and promotion projects that support and grow local economies by leveraging outdoor recreation. It is for projects that support local outdoor recreation economies, but need design, scoping, or planning work done to unlock other funding and helps communities and organizations share information about their recreation resources and businesses by supporting marketing, branding, and other promotion.
Grant amounts range from $7,500 to $50,000. No match is required.
A pre-application is required by December 13, 2026. For full information on pre-application materials, eligibility, project examples, and anticipated timeline please visit the VCGP webpage. Full application submission is by invitation only.
The Department is hosting webinars leading up to the pre-application deadline. It encourages interested applicants to attend and learn more about the program’s requirements as well as how to complete the pre-application materials. All sessions will be recorded and posted along with the presentation slides on the VOREC grant website.
