Resources from Short-Term Rental Policy Retreat, 11/8/25

The links below are for resources used in VLCT's first-ever hybrid Vermont Municipal Short-Term Rental Policy Retreat, held on Saturday, November 8, 2025. The event was designed to provide municipalities that are considering regulating short-term rentals, or those that have recently implemented regulations, a deeper understanding of the law that surrounds short-term rental regulation. Attendees learned from towns that had already implemented registries or regulations, VLCT lawyers who created online tools to help towns understand what they can do, and short-term rental experts who help explain the market and the effect that short-term rentals have on the state.
