*** No meeting on September 26, when we will host two Disaster Recovery panel sessions as part of Town Fair! ***
With Vermont shifting activities away from flood response, the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) stopped holding twice weekly situational briefings after Friday, September 8. Communities are now in the recovery phase of "Vermont Severe Storms, Flooding, Landslides, and Mudslides DR-4720-VT."
Although the immediacy of critical information has subsided, there are still many details that towns, cities, and villages need to know to support a successful recovery. VLCT is partnering with Vermont Emergency Management (VEM) to ensure that information continues to flow. On Tuesday at 1:00 PM every week until there is no longer a need, VLCT will host and moderate a weekly Flood Recovery update meeting with VEM, FEMA (as appropriate), and other state and federal entities involved in Vermont's recovery efforts.
If your municipality was impacted by the flooding events, consider marking your calendar and joining us on Tuesdays at 1:00 PM to stay in the know. Any municipal official involved in your flood recovery work is welcome to attend. See the meeting details below to join the discussion and view the presentation slides from each meeting.
