FEMA has extended the incident period for Vermont's severe storms, flooding, landslides, and mudslides through July 21, 2023.
This means:
- Municipalities may include qualifying damages incurred between July 7, 2023 through July 21, 2023 in their FEMA Public Assistance claims.
- FEMA may provide assistance to survivors of the storms for damage caused between July 7, 2023 through and including July 21, 2023.
The State of Vermont continues to pursue an additional extension through August 5, 2023 and, if that is not granted, the State will seek a separate disaster declaration covering damage to public infrastructure in Addison County from August 3 through August 5, 2023.
The deadline to apply for Public Assistance and Individual Assistance remains October 12, 2023.
