On June 9, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, a virtual town hall specifically for local officials will address questions about the amount of money individual municipalities will receive as their share of the state’s opioid settlements – and also the permissible uses of the money.
Representatives from the Vermont Attorney General’s Office, the Vermont Opioid Abatement Fund Committee, and VLCT will walk attendees through how to determine the amount of funds that their municipality will receive in each year as the settlement funds are dispersed. The presenters will also explain the requirements for tracking the money received and opportunities to consider when making local appropriations for settlement funds.
