A taxpayer in your municipality who is not satisfied with a decision of the listers may appeal to the Board of Civil Authority (BCA). In this session you’ll learn the legal and practical parameters within which the BCA must operate – including deadlines, the rules governing participation, and requirements for decision making.
To help illustrate these legal requirements and best practices, MAC staff also created a Mock BCA Hearing recording (left). Speaker: Carl Andeer, Staff Attorney II, VLCT Municipal Assistance Center.
