The VLCT PACIF Workers' Compensation Program provides coverage for municipal employees who are injured in the course of their employment or who become ill as a result of their employment. Coverage includes:
- Workers' compensation coverage to statutory limit
- Employer Liability
State law requires employers to report a claim within 72 hours of when they learn of a work-related injury or illness, but sooner is better – and late reporting can develop into significant long-term costs. Every supervisor at every PACIF municipality should read our Report a Claim page to familiarize themselves with the requirements for filing a First Report of Injury. Afterward, when a workplace injury occurs, the appropriate person can go directly to PACIF's online First Report of Injury form.
